#1 Consult with your vet. Your dog may have heart, joint, weight or other health issues that would make any sort of running program hazardous to their health.
#2 Same as above, only for you.
#3 Some breeds are not good running partners. Pugs, Boxers and other short-nosed dogs may have difficulty getting enough air. If your dog lags behind on a power walk, running probably won't be their forte.
I am not a vet, professional athlete, or anyone that you should really listen to for advice. This is what I do. I may die tomorrow. If you do what I do, you may die tomorrow too. Or not. Use your brain and stay within your limits.
